We at Mayame hope you love shopping with us. We strive to make your shopping experience as smooth as possible and therefore we have some terms and conditions (“Conditions”) that apply to your order.

Please note, these Conditions apply to consumers. If you are not a consumer, but interested in working together with us, please contact us via our contact details below.

These terms & conditions are applicable to all agreements and orders of Mayame. By placing an order and accepting the offer you are automatically in agreement with these terms and conditions.

Offer and Agreement 

When you buy an article online via the webshop of Mayame, you enter into an agreement with Mayame. These Conditions apply to all your online orders and purchases. We will make sure that these Conditions are easily accessible at the moment you are ordering as well as at any point in time thereafter. You may read, reread or download the then applicable and latest version of the Conditions via our website. To avoid incorrect delivery following your order, please make sure you provide us with the correct information and contact details. We keep your information safe and process personal data in accordance with our privacy policy. An agreement arising from an offer which contains an obvious mistake and/or error, such as an unusually low price, is not binding upon Mayame. Please contact Mayame Amsterdam when you doubt the validity of an offer. 

Price and Payment 

The price stated in the webshop is the total price inclusive of value added taxes. Delivery charges are stated separately, if applicable. If the delivery address is located outside the European Union, additional taxes may apply. It is possible that the country in question charges additional levies, such as import tax. Mayame has no influence or control over such levies and can therefore not provide you with further information. Any import duties and taxes payable will be your sole responsibility as customer and may need to be paid at the time of delivery. These additional costs are for your own account. You must check yourself if the ordered articles can be exported and imported to the country in question and what the costs are, before placing such an order. You can pay for your order using one of the payment methods available in the webshop of Mayame. 

Delivery 

Mayame aims to process and have your order delivered as smooth and fast as possible. We take great care to ensure that the products are shipped accurately. Should you unexpectedly receive incomplete or damaged products, please let us know as soon as possible, but ultimately within 48 hours after receiving the products and we will take care of this. Orders are shipped to the delivery address provided by you and via the means of delivery chosen by you. Look for the delivery costs in your country in the Shipping & Returns section on our website. In the event that a wrong address is provided, the costs for the lost product are for your own account. Mayame is not responsible for delays caused by Post NL, DHL or UPS. Mayame is also not liable for whatever damage that might occur as a consequence to not delivering in time. Mayame takes great care of the sending and receiving of ordered products. Never the less it can happen that an order is not sent or incomplete. You need to report this within 7 days after you have received the product. The delivery shall eventually be completed or sent again by Mayame.

Quality, Legal Guarantee & Complaints 

Mayame aims to display products on its website as fully and accurately as possible. The nature of the offered products may result in differences (such as color differences) between the display of products on the website and the product delivered to you. Does the product appear to be different than expected? We offer you a return term of 30 days. The products we offer are naturally subject to usage. The lifespan of a product is partly dependent on the material of the product, the intensity of use, and the level of care. The products of Mayame are made from the highest quality materials as listed in the webshop. Mayame stands for quality under normal use. If you have discussed your complaint with us, but you want to file your complaint to another authority, you can contact the Dispute Commission via the European ODR Platform: http://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/. Right of Withdrawal Based on the law you have a period of 14 days after receiving the product, to withdraw your agreement with Mayame, without giving any reason. To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw from this contract by sending us an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post, fax or e-mail). It is also possible to withdraw the agreement partially. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired. The right of withdrawal is not provided for sealed goods that are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons and were unsealed after delivery. After terminating the agreement please return the product as soon as possible, but no later than 30 days after receipt of all the products in your order, to the address of Mayame as stated in the shipping label. You can try out our product(s) as far as necessary to make a purchase, like you would do in an actual shop. Make sure that the cards are still attached and that the original packaging is undamaged when returning. For products that are incomplete, damaged, have been washed, the labels have been removed, or showing other signs of wear Mayame will have to deduct this decrease in value from the total amount to be refunded to you. Only Mayame is entitled to determine the decrease in value. Mayame will refund the amount paid, excluding shipping costs, within 14 days after receiving the returned product(s). In the case of a partial cancellation, we only refund the costs of the returned product. We will refund you with the same payment method that you used to make the original payment. 

Return Policy

We want you to have the best shopping experience with us, and that is why we have a return policy of 30 days. Please return the product as soon as possible, but no later than 30 days after receipt of all the products in your order, to the address of Mayame as stated in the return form and on this website. You can try out our product(s) as far as necessary to make a purchase, like you would do in an actual shop. Make sure that the cards are still attached and that the original packaging is undamaged when returning. For products that are incomplete, damaged, have been washed, the labels have been removed, or showing other signs of wear Mayame will have to deduct this decrease in value from the total amount to be refunded to you. Intellectual property 

Mayame owns all intellectual property rights related to the brand, the product, and the website including all promotional materials like videos and photography. 

Changes

 Changes in these Conditions will be published on the website. You are advised to check these Conditions when ordering with us. These Conditions were last changed on February 20th, 2024. 

Applicable Law & Liability

 Dutch law applies to these Conditions and to the agreements between you and Mayame. In case of any conflicts, the Court of Amsterdam will decide on the matter; notwithstanding your rights as a consumer that you may have according to the country you are residing in. Liability Mayame is not liable for any damage caused by the personnel or the products of Mayame directly or indirectly. Mayame is also not liable for any damage caused by third parties. Mayame accepts no liability for eventual damages that are caused by using Mayame products. The liability of Mayame is always restricted to the purchase amount of the product in question. Mayame is not liable for misunderstandings, delay, and incorrect delivery of orders and messages, due to the use of the internet or other means of communication with Mayame and third parties, unless due to intentional acts or negligence.

Force majeure 

In a situation of force majeure, all obligations of Mayame will be canceled. In case that the period of force majeure takes longer than two months, it is yours and Mayame’s right to cancel the agreement, without compensation for damage. We speak of force majeure in case of strike, disturbances, import/export prohibition, or natural disasters regardless if these occur at Mayame or its suppliers.
